The Six Sigma White Belt is a course designed to provide the most basic level of understanding of the Six Sigma Methodology. It aims to provide you with a basic definition, history, and structure of the discipline. It also provides a solid understanding of who is involved in the actual implementation within an organization.

The white belt level is where all future Six Sigma practitioners are recruited and initially educated. Introducing the organization’s promising employees to Six Sigma through white belt training could be the beginning of a great relationship for the company and for the employee.

White belt training is an ideal primer for Six Sigma professionals. It works best for employees who are unfamiliar with Six Sigma and want to learn more about the methodology and how it can impact an organization.

Yellow Belt is a professional who is versed in the basics of the Lean Six Sigma Methodology who supports improvement projects as a part of a team or conducts small projects on a part time basis.  A Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt possesses an understanding of the aspects within the phases of D-M-C to ensure :

  • Able to participate to identify and select Lean Six Sigma Projects and Leaders.
  • To give strategic direction and targets to all Continuous Improvement team.
  • Supporting all resources (time, cost, authorization) to every initatives.
  • To eliminate barriers of all projects.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training develops people into team leaders and problem-solvers who can regularly improve processes within their local areas and functions.

Following the disciplined Six Sigma DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) roadmap, this course teaches you how to collect and analyze performance data, identify inefficiencies and problems, pinpoint root causes, and institute new protocols to greatly improve processes. In addition to teaching the complementary methodologies of Lean and Six Sigma, this course also provides skills in leading teams through the process of change.

Most importantly, this course has a practical and applied focus. Taught by instructors with real-world experience, this course features interactive lectures, group exercises, process and tool simulations, individual exercises and the application of learning to a real improvement project in the workplace.

Through mentoring and coaching, instructors provide direct and focused support so participants can successfully pass their final exam and complete their project to gain Green Belt certification.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training gives you the skills you need to lead teams through breakthrough improvements and support strategic objectives in any function or department of any organization.

This course prepares you to solve a wide variety of difficult problems across a wide spectrum of industries, including transactional, service, and manufacturing, drawing on both quantitative and qualitative methods from the complementary domains of Lean and Six Sigma.

Additionally, this course prepares Black Belts for their role as change agents in training and mentoring Green Belts and other resources, facilitating and leading projects, supporting broader performance excellence efforts and serving as internal consultants.

The duration of this course is spread out over a five-month time frame because the scope and depth of learning is extensive. Instructors lead lectures, group exercises, process and tool simulations, and individual exercises to transfer knowledge and challenge students to extract the most value from the experience. Participants also gain significant skills in graphical and statistical analysis using Minitab software. Between classroom sessions, candidates work on their assignments and workplace improvement project.

 

Certification Requirements :

  • Pass all exam.
  • Complete one Black Belt project.
  • Mentoring minimum 2 Green Belts

Who should attend : Supervisor – Management Levels

Training Duration : 15 days in 5 consecutive months (3 days per month)

Project Duration   : 6 months
